Meet Our Team
PSYCHOLOGIST, PRACTICE FOUNDER
Colleen Reichmann, PsyD (she/ her)
Hello there! My name is Dr. Colleen Reichmann. I am a licensed clinical psychologist, and the founder of Wildflower Therapy LLC. I have experience across all levels of eating disorders care, and am incredibly passionate about this work. I also specialize in depression, anxiety, college student-specific mental health, and maternal mental health. I love seeing people across the age spectrum, from high school students, to young adults, to middle aged and beyond. All ages are welcome here.
I draw from feminist theory, and implement Health at Every Size principles in my therapy. Additionally, I believe that the “deeper level work” typically involves identifying and processing systemic social justice aspects of our relationships with food and our bodies.
I did not *ahem* thrive in college (to put it lightly). Because of my own rough history during those years, I have so much empathy for the specific struggles that college students face. I know what it’s like to feel hopeless, and to have to sit across from an older dude who gazes over his glasses and asks question after question without pausing to just talk to you like a damn human. So I have made it my mission to make therapy a different experience for you. Our time together will feel safe, easy, and you WILL feel seen.
In my work with mothers, I focus on fostering a space that feels safe to share their most secret and painful thoughts- this includes mothers of children who are no longer here on earth, folks who are mothers in their hearts without a child, and mothers of living children of all ages. I want all mothers to know that they do not have to feel hopeless or alone- and I help them to step into their authentic selves and release comparisons.
Important things for you to know: I am a Philadelphia enthusiast. I am a big fan of bangs, baking, and the color mustard yellow. I have two dogs, Ollie and Zooey (who are also more than happy to make an appearance during our sessions). I have a son named Ezra, and a daughter named Marigold - the hardest and absolute best parts of my life.
THERAPIST, COMMUNITY RELATIONS COORDINATOR
Ashton Whitmore, LPC (she/her)
I believe in a trauma-informed approach that views clients through various lenses, and considers social, cultural, and systematic influences. I offer an inclusive space that explores how identity, oppression, and/or marginalization plays a role in one’s perception of themselves and their outlook on healing and recovery. As a mindfulness-based therapist, my perspective focuses on your present experience as a practice that supports you in cultivating an awareness of your thoughts, reactions, and relational patterns.
I am a HAES-oriented therapist who enjoys working with folks who struggle with body image, disordered eating, and I honor bodies of all shapes and sizes. I am also trained in helping folks who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and OCD. Additionally, as a queer-identified therapist I look forward to offering gender affirming, compassionate and comprehensive care to historically misunderstood and pathologized people in the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
I relocated to Philadelphia from the mountains of Denver, Colorado, and enjoy exploring my city and learning about the community. When I’m not working, I am most likely taking my dog for hikes in the woods.
THERAPIST
Samantha Palmer, LPC (she/her)
Hi everyone! I’m Sam, a professional counselor who offers a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to discover and embrace your truest self. I utilize a person-centered, strength-based, and direct approach to therapy. I consider the importance of all aspects of one’s identity and how that plays a role in the therapeutic relationship. I earned my Master’s degrees in Counseling and Mental Health Services as well as Professional Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania.
I am a HAES-aligned therapist who specializes in treating individuals with eating disorders and body image concerns as well as substance misuse. I also have experience working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, personality disorders, and relationship difficulties. I work with adolescents, adults, and families. And, as a former collegiate rower, I have a true passion for working with athletes.
In my free time, I enjoy ignoring the advice of TLC, and chasing waterfalls with my black Lab, Nike, as well as hiking, biking, and scuba diving. I am also known to embark on sweet adventures in the kitchen, baking my signature chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon rolls.
THERAPIST
Zia Klein, LCSW (she/her)
Hi, I’m Zia! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in eating disorders and disordered eating recovery, with special attention to trauma-informed care and the intersection of eating disorders and OCD.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh. I am a HAES-aligned, social justice-informed clinician who is greatly passionate about the celebration of all bodies and centering client lived experience in my work. I deeply believe the foundation of therapy is creating a trusting and safe place to land. I think it is essential to examine our beliefs about diet culture and our societal norms related to body weight, shape, size, gender, sexuality, race and differing abilities.
In addition to eating disorders, I have experience working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, OCD, and trauma. I enjoy helping individuals of all ages explore their relationship with body image and working to achieve body sovereignty. Above all else, I believe allowing ourselves to need, to take up space, and tell our story can move those struggling with eating disorders closer to recovery. “If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can’t survive.”- Sonya Renee Taylor.
When I am not at work, I enjoy nurturing a present and playful relationship with my 2-year-old daughter and surrounding myself with a loving support network of friends and family. I also believe it is deeply important that I create time for restorative & rejuvenating practices that care for my full self, such as buying flowers, reading, and trying new coffee shops around my hometown, Pittsburgh. I look forward to connecting with you and being part of this community!
PSYCHOLOGIST
Ilana Levin, PsyD (she/her)
Hi, I’m Dr. Ilana Levin! I’m a therapist whose practice is grounded in fostering a welcoming, non-judgmental, secure, and empowering environment for my clients. I specialize in eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, OCD, mood disorders, and personality disorders. I am trained in Family-Based Therapy (FBT) and have experience working with folks across the lifespan, beginning with children, adolescents, young adults, and beyond. I believe the act of seeking treatment is an act of brave vulnerability which I view as a privilege to get to hold space for and support.
As an advocate of the Health at Every Size (HAES) approach, I blend evidence-based treatments with a highly individualized approach, respecting each person’s unique journey. I am especially passionate about extending my services to folks of diverse backgrounds, aiming to incorporate a culturally sensitive and informed approach. My experience extends to working with various minority communities, particularly the LQBTQIA+ and Jewish communities. Ultimately, I believe you are the expert of your experience and I’ll bring my expertise to help you achieve your goals in a supportive and collaborative manner.
A little more for you to get to know me- I was born and raised in the Baltimore, Maryland area but I have been a true Philly girl since moving here in 2017. When I say this city has stolen my heart, I mean it has truly stolen my heart. I’m a big fan of nature, especially anything related to water, an absolute coffee enthusiast, and love spending time with my loved ones. I look forward to connecting and getting to know more about you!
THERAPIST
Casey Harvey, LCSW (she/her)
Hi there! I’m Casey, a Licensed Clinical Social worker who specializes in treating eating disorders across the spectrum. I also work with body image concerns, OCD, anxiety, depression, and substance misuse. I work with individuals of all ages, and I am deeply passionate about working with families affected by eating disorders (and am trained in Family-Based Therapy - FBT). There is healing power in connecting with each other!
I am a true social worker deep at heart, so our work will include understanding your experiences in the context of our world, and the challenges it presents. I am committed to creating a safe and warm place for you to explore your own identity.
While I have experiences with many types of therapy, nothing makes me passionate quite like talking about values. And if you’re not sure what yours are right now, or how to really live by them, you’re in the right place! We will work on connecting you with your deepest values in the service of YOUR most meaningful life.
When I am not working, I am totally the person who cries at dog videos on the internet. No surprise, I am the proud mom of a rescue dog, and an avid shelter volunteer. I love adding to my cookbook collection, watching sitcoms, and cheering for all Pittsburgh-based sports teams.
THERAPIST
Maria Palermo, MA (she/her)
Hey, my name is Maria and I am a Philly native through and through. I highly value the grit, tenacity, and fighting spirit of this city and believe in its transformative power. It can be scary to take that first (or 100th) step towards recovery, but I am here to walk beside you, encourage you, and remind you that recovery is possible, throughout the entire process.
I graduated with dual Masters’ degrees in Counseling and International Peace and Conflict Resolution because I believe that it is important to recognize and address the intersections of societal injustices and individual issues. I specialize in serving clients who are struggling with eating disorders or disordered eating and believe that it is an immense honor to help people rediscover their value and worth as they reclaim power over their life. I endorse the Health At Every Size (HAES) approach and primarily utilize a person-centered approach (with CBT and DBT mixed in) to individually tailor every therapeutic experience. I also have experience serving clients, from teenagers to older adults, who struggle with mood disorders, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and/or substance misuse.
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, it is especially important to me to serve this marginalized community and provide a safe, gender-affirming, and understanding space. I have personally witnessed the powerful impact that working with an empathetic, nonjudgmental, hopeful, passionate, and understanding counselor can have on one’s life journey, and I strive every day to be this person for those who are willing to take that first step towards a better life.
When I am not working, you can find me snuggling with my three rescue animals (a pitbull, a yorkie-poo, and a West Philly cat) and watching funny animal videos. If I am not doing this, I am most likely watching Philly sports games (Go Birds!), forest bathing with my wife and dogs, nerding out over proper spelling and grammar and sociopolitical issues, longing to go to open mics/poetry readings, or streaming terrible shows/movies.
VIRTUAL ASSISTANT
Erika Muller (she/her)
Hello! My name is Erika Muller. I am the virtual assistant for Wildflower Therapy. I have a bachelor’s degree in English, Professional Writing, and Psychology. It took me a while to decide what I wanted “to be” when I was in college, and it wasn’t until graduate school that I realized I wanted to bring my love for people, reading, writing, and learning together and enter the world of education. This led to me becoming a high school English teacher. My master’s degree is in Instruction and Curriculum, where I spent a large part of my program studying, researching, and writing about trauma-informed teaching and curriculum creation, and classroom, school, and systemic-level diversity, equity, and inclusion.
My own personal journey and continually unfolding life story has made me passionate about advocating for those who have navigated or are navigating disordered eating, body image concerns, infertility, motherhood, and more. I have a deep desire to connect with, understand, and truly know people. I am honored to be able to combine my love for people, my desire to understand others’ journeys, my passion for continued learning, and my love for writing into my role as a virtual assistant at Wildflower.
On a good day, you can find me hanging out with my family, spending time with some of my favorite kids at a local community center, reading, writing, baking, enjoying a long walk outside, or drinking coffee. On a great day, you will find me doing several of the above activities all at once, not cleaning my house, and listening to instrumental Christmas music (yes, even – especially? – in the summer). We can unpack that later.
We are licensed to provide therapy to clients residing in PA, NJ, DE, FL, MA, VA, and VT, as well as students living in any of these states (even if your parents live elsewhere).
